Your 12 Month’s Membership to The Creative Explorer’s Club begins the day your sign up and is the first step. This is your commitment to spending a full year exploring your artful creative nature, and learning how important it is to fit creativity into your life. |
Every good Creative Explorer needs a master plan – a guide to take them on their journey. With the “Vision Your Creative Life” Master Plan you will be able to plot and plan your course for your life, create intentions, and set visions for how you want your life to look.
As a Creative Explorer you’ll also need a long term project which challenges you to step outside your comfort zone because this is where the best exploring is done. Using symbols, words and images, and mixed media techniques that I’ll be sharing with you, you’ll create your own set of Vision Cards which will not only be your own personal artwork, but can also be used in many different ways as you’ll discover, but mainly they’ll be used to create magic in your life. The Vision Cards are based on the “One Word Vision Card project” that I worked with during the whole of last year. |
Creative Explorers, obviously need a daily fix of creative inspiration so each day you’ll discover and explore interesting and creative bits and pieces from around the web – blogs, videos, all sorts of creative inspiration, maybe even a short inspiring article. Nothing too time consuming, but just enough to start your day in a positive and creative way. |
Creative Explorers also need to create systems and rituals to manage their day so that they have time to be creative and develop their creative process! As a business owner and artist and VBP (very busy person), I need systems in place that manage my time, my life and my mindset so I can *do it all*. I have those system in place and I get a lot done during the course of a day. I’ll be sharing these systems and tools with you every week through artful downloadable calendars, planners, worksheets, lists (phew) and other things to keep you organized and on track right throughout the week and beyond. It’s not hard to do (honest!) and once you have your systems in place you’ll wonder how you ever worked without them. |
Now that you have your systems in place (or you will very soon) you can begin to nurture your creativity; to learn how to water your *idea seeds* and watch them grow. You’ll start digging around to find out what inspires and motivates you. Some of this stuff will need you to dig deep inside and check in with yourself, but that’s a good thing, right? Because that journey alone is magical. We’ll look at the power of symbols and words and affirmations (yes, you might consider them a little cliche, but they *do* work magic), as well as processes for sketching and journaling and capturing all those moments of inspiration. |
Creative Explorers also need creative inspiration and motivation, and this will be delivered to you by way of monthly artful tutorials. We’ll cover simple techniques for working with mixed media applications, digital processes including photoshop elements; methods for working with fabric and paper, paints, photography (be warned I’m not good but I don’t let it stop me) – all the creative techniques that you’ve seen me use on my blog or in my online classes, as well as a few that I don’t often share. These tutorials will be short and sweet so they don’t suck up a lot of your time (we’re doing “slow work” this year remember), and will be available in either pdf format with photos, or video, or both.
I’ll also be sharing with you monthly articles that allow you to see my creative process in action – photos included – and I’ll be sharing with you my internal and external processes as I work my way through a small project. This will give you insight into my creative process and how I work my way through the challenges and joys of artful creativity. You’ll probably be surprised at how similar it will be to your own process. |

You’ll also discover a treasure chest of Resources to help you on your journey including

My vision for The Creative Explorer’s Club is to spend a year with you and show you what amazing things can happen in your life when you learn to make time to be creative and to fully and deeply explore your artful creativity on a regular and consistent basis. Stuff like this can’t be done in a few weeks; it’s a long process.
For me it *is* an epic journey that really has no end, and for you I hope this year provides you with the tools to begin the journey.
